It is possible to break the record of 800 wickets
A few days ago, James Anderson became the first fast bowler and the fourth bowler to take 600 Test wickets. The English star pacer needs just 20 more wickets to take third place. Everyone knows that Jimmy can do this job effortlessly. But many of us think that it is impossible to break Murli record of 800 wickets.
But will the 36-year-old right-arm pacer be the highest wicket-taker? Most people would say the answer is impossible. It is possible to break the record of 800 wickets, but record owner Murali is optimistic. And Jimmy will surpass this record after playing cricket for six to seven years. But if Jimmy can’t break this record, someone else can break it one day or another.
“When Lance Gibbs took 309 wickets, one would think it was possible to break it,” Murali said. But many have surpassed it. That’s how anyone can break my record. I am very happy that Anderson has taken 600 wickets recently. He was my teammate in Lancashire. If he plays for another six / seven years, he will definitely break my record.
