Islamabad vs Quetta Match 26 Result PSL 2019
Toss: Islamabad United won the toss and opted to field first in the 26th match of HBL PSL 2019.
Match Summary: Quetta started their innings, Ahmed Shahzad looked in form and he scored his second fifty of this season as he scores 73 runs to take Quetta to a good total. After losing Shane Watson, Shahzad and Azam Khan, Rossouw and Umar Akmal contributed and kept the pace of getting runs for Quetta. Quetta loses its pace and control as Quetta lost 5 wickets for just 3 runs in just 14 balls. Quetta was 162-4 in 17 over, and in 19th over they were 165-9 but Muhammad Nawaz smashed a boundary and six to set the target of 180 runs.
Chasing down a good total, Islamabad started their innings in a great style. Luke Ronchi, the hard hitter smashed 64 runs of 43 ball. On the other hand, Delport and Samit Patel helped to add few runs on the scoreboard. Fawad Ahmed struck twice to get rid of Delport and Samit. Mohammad Nawaz dismissed Asif Ali for a duck, that led Islamabad into worry. But Luke Ronchi kept it going and scored a half-century. Ronchi was also dismissed by Fawad Ahmed.
At one stage Islamabad was 109-3 in 14 overs, and all of sudden they lose the momentum and wickets too. Mohammed Hasnain and Sohail Tanvir took two wickets each. They reduce Islamabad United to chase down the target. Where Islamabad only managed to score 137 in 20 overs for the loss of 9 wickets.
Man of the Match: Ahmad Shahzad was declared as the man of the match player for his striking and classical inning.
