Ireland vs. England Test Match Gone Thrilling

Trusting your night watchman is never advisable. But England owes most of their precarious 180-run lead over Ireland to Jack Leach and his remarkable 92 runs. England vs Ireland Test Match got some thrilling turns. England will resume their innings 303-9 with a lead of 181 runs.

To say this was a surprise is an understatement. Leach came to this particular entry in the back of 19 single-figure scorers in first-class cricket, which included four ducks. Last season, he missed Pakistan’s test series at the start of the summer, after breaking his thumb while batting in the nets.

That was a difficult point, recalled Leach, who participated in the post-game press conference as the batting hero of the second day. I’ve worked a lot on that and slowly feel a lot more comfortable.

So I had a couple of things to do with the bat. But that was last year and I just got 92-runs in a test game. There were splashes of good fortune at all times. He played and missed a lot of things and, when the edges came, he received 72-runs and then 92-runs unbeaten.

I think there’s pressure on Ireland. It’s the first time you’ve had the experience of being probably the favorites to win the game. We don’t have to hide from that. But we do believe that we have a great we have already talked in the locker room about the game in Edgbaston last year against India, where they were chasing 180 and they fall short 30-runs. The boys think this is a tougher field than that, so we’re going to have a big belief in tomorrow and we’re going to have to play well. But I think we have a great opportunity.
