IPL 2021: Disney + Hotstar increases IPL Ad Rates by 20 Percent
Indian Premier League season 14th – IPL 2021 official live broadcasting partner, Disney + Hotstar increased the remaining ad inventory rates by 20 percent. The new rates will take effect from April 1. Over the Top (OTT) platform already has 12 sponsors and a few more shortly. “Prices for the remaining slots will increase by 20 percent from April 1, 2021,” a source said, as reported by Exchange4media. The source added: “With the tremendous digital growth in 2020, you can see significant traction and response across all categories of advertisers.”
Additionally, Disney + Hotstar sold its key features such as Super 4, Super 6, Fall of Wickets (FOW), Milestones, and Super Savers well in advance of the deadline. “The platform has garnered great interest from brands in various categories to take advantage of the range and high visibility width that IPL offers,” the report states.
IPL 2021: Amazon Prime and Coinswitch Collaborate
A Disney + Hotstar spokesperson said Amazon Prime and Coinswitch have joined the list of sponsors as “co-sponsors,” bringing the total to 12. The platform has listed Dream11 as a co-sponsor with Upstox and Vimal. Elaichi as “co-paid sponsors. Co-sponsors are PhonePe, Association of Mutual Funds of India (AMFI), Unacademy, Pharmeasy, Livspace, Swiggy, Parle Agro, Amazon Prime, and Coinswitch.”
The spokesperson added that IPL 2021 Broadcasting Channel will see more than 300 brands use IPL to reach consumers through Disney + Hotstar. “During IPL 2020, more than 300 brands in all categories benefited greatly through their partnership with Disney + Hotstar, and we are now seeing similar or higher numbers for 2021.”
To add to the excitement even further, Disney + Hotstar is introducing another social feature called Watch Party, which will provide our viewers with a stadium experience in the safety of their own homes. The feature will be implemented to give advertisers massive opportunities to form deeper interactions with the right group of audiences. Additionally, features like Video Duets and Hotshots create rich engagement opportunities for brands and viewers through branding videos and posters. “
