India Legends Won the Road Safety World Series Title Defeating Srilanka Legends in the RSWS Final
India Legends won the Road Safety World Series 2021 title by defeating Sri Lanka Legends. Sachin Tendulkar’s side put up a big collection of 181 runs in the final match on Sunday night. In reply, the Lankans could not make more than 16 runs losing 7 wickets. India kept the title at home with a 14-run victory.
After winning the toss in Raipur, Sachin Tendulkar’s 30, Yuvraj’s 40 off 41 balls, and Yusuf’s 72 off 38 balls helped India Legends to a big total of 181 for 4 in 20 overs. Rangana Herath, Jayasuriya, Parvez Mahroof, and Warrante took one wicket each for Sri Lanka.
Dilshan could not make more than 23 runs from 16 balls to chase the target. Another opener Sanath Jayasuriya’s bat came from 35 balls for 43 runs. In the end, Chinthaka Jayasinghe and Kaushalya Viraratne tried. The two made a pair of 64 runs off just 35 balls. Chinthaka played 40 off 30 balls and Kaushalya hit three fours and six sixes off just 15 balls in an innings of 36 runs. However, these have only reduced the margin of defeat.
