India is planning to host a 100-ball tournament

For the first time, England is going to host the 100 ball tournament ‘The Hundred’. This new version of cricket was supposed to be rolled out this year. However, due to the corona effect, it has been postponed until July 2021. Like England, India is already planning to host a 100-ball tournament in the style of The Hundred.

Colin Graves, the outgoing chairman of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), recently said some countries had asked the ECB about the 100-ball tournament. However, the most interested board in India is the BCCI. Colin Graves claims that the BCCI has been in talks with the ECB about the 100-ball tournament since 2019.

In an interview with Sky Sports on the first day of the ongoing England-Pakistan Southampton Test, Colin Graves highlighted the interest of other countries in ‘The Hundred’. He said, “Several countries, especially India, have looked into organizing it themselves. Last year they regularly discussed it with me. So it has been able to create a stir around the world.
