India can’t find a sponsor for the national team
IPL title sponsor Vivo has terminated his one-year contract. After that BCCI had to add Dream XI as the title sponsor of IPL. On the other hand, India can’t find a sponsor for the national team jersey. The contract with the company sponsoring the Indian cricket team’s jersey has expired. And now they don’t want to extend the deal. For this reason, the BCCI called for tenders for the sponsorship of the jersey, but no company showed interest.
The BCCI issued the tender after the contract with Nike expired. In addition to the German company Puma, the possibility of a deal with Adidas was strong. It was speculated that the two companies might have a deal. But even after giving the tender date, no company showed interest.
In this situation, the Indian team will now have to play in any of their upcoming international series without a sponsorship jersey. The BCCI had signed a Rs 360 crore deal with Nike for 4 years, but according to market experts, no one will pay the BCCI that much now
