Pakistan Cricket Board: Imran Khan wants Ramiz Raja as PCB New Chairman
Former cricketer Ramiz Raja is set to become the new chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board PCB. The Hindustan Times quoted a source as saying on Saturday. However, nothing was known from Ramiz Raja about this. He was called and texted to know about this but did not reply. However, according to various media reports, Prime Minister Imran Khan wants Ramiz Raja to be the new PCB Chairman.
According to a source in the Pakistan Cricket Board, the Prime Minister will send the names of the two to the governing body of the PCB board in the next few days. One of those two will be elected chairman of the board.
According to the source, Asad Ali Khan’s name was being heard as the PCB chairman instead of Ehsan Mani. But Pakistan’s World Cup-winning captain Imran Khan wants Ramiz Raja.
According to the source, Ramiz Rajai is the ideal candidate for the post of PCB chairman. He is highly educated, can speak well. Due to his long commentary, he also has a voice in the cricket community. Moreover, Ramiz Rajar has experience of working as the CEO of PCB in the past.
In 1992, Pakistan got the taste of winning the first World Cup under the captaincy of Imran Khan. Ramiz Raja was the star cricketer of that World Cup-winning team. The PCB has already appointed retired Justice Azmat Sheikh as its election commissioner.
