ICC T20 World Cup 2020 Groups and Teams
The men’s T20 World Cup competition will start from October 18 to November 15, 2020, at 8 venues in Australia. Sri Lanka’s men’s cricket team will play the tournament opener against the qualifying team on October 18 at Simonds Stadium in South Geelong. Hosts Australia to face first-team Pakistan in the opening match of the super-12 stage at the SCG in Sydney. On the same day, India, winner of the 2007 T20 World Cup, will meet South Africa at Perth Stadium. A total of 33 matches will be played in the 2020 T20 World Cup Cricket Event. This is the first time that India and Pakistan have been placed in separate groups.
Twenty20 2020 World Cup Groups
There are two Groups in the T20 World Cup 2020 Groups containing a total of 12 teams in the first round of T20 World Cup 2020 will be played on Sunday 18 October – Friday 23 October which includes following teams to qualify for the Super 12 stages.
Group A: Sri Lanka, qualifier A1, qualifier A2, qualifier A3
Group B: Bangladesh, qualifying B1, qualifier B2, qualifier B3
After the First phase of T20 World Cup 2020, the qualified teams will play the next phase which is Super 12 starting from Saturday 24 October – Sunday 8 November.
Group 1: Pakistan, Australia, West Indies, New Zealand, Group A-Team 1, Group B Team 2
Group 2: India, England, South Africa, Afghanistan, Group B 1 Teams, Group A-Team 2
The semi-finals will take place on November 11 and 12 in Sydney and Adelaide respectively. On November 15, MCG will host the final match of the ICC ICC T20 World Cup. Let’s wait and see who will win the T20 World Cup 2020.
