I Always Try To Give My Best, Says Ravindra Jadeja on Arjuna Award
The all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who has been awarded the prestigious Arjuna Prize at Arjuna Award, has always promised to give his best every time he comes to the cricket field to play in India and try to win matches for the team.
-Jadeja Video Message-
First of all, I would like to thank the Government of India for awarding me the Arjuna Prize. I would also like to congratulate all the winners of the Prize. They have performed brilliantly in their fields. I’ll always try to do my best every time I play for India, I’ll always try to win matches for the team and make the country proud.
The all-rounder Saurashtra was unable to participate in Thursday’s awards ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, as he is in the West Indies, where India is currently taking part in the two-match test series.
Jadeja is currently in fourth place in the ICC standings for the off-road test. He hit half a century and took two wickets in India’s 318-runs victory over the West Indies at the Ancient Test and during the World Cup last month, nearly leading India to the final with an extravagant 59-ball 79 against New Zealand.
The left-handed batsmen Jadeja joined the elite list of former and current male cricketers including Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, and Virat Kohli, among others who have received the prestigious Arjuna Award, an honor awarded by the Indian government to recognize Outstanding Individual Achievement in sport.
