The Royal Challengers Bangalore put an end to their IPL 2019 campaign after defeating Sunrises Hyderabad by four wickets. With 176 to win, RCB first recovered from 20 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. Then survived a collapse of the sleeves, to pursue the target in the final. Shimron Hetmyer and Gurkeerat Mann both scored half a century and their record stand of 144 points led their team to victory. The Royal challengers finished their season with five victories, while the Sunrisers will wait for the match results on the last day of the championship season to see if their six victories could lead them to the playoffs.
Earlier in the evening, the Hyderabad Sunrisers made a good start with their first pair of Wriddhiman Saha and Martin Guptill. After the departure of Guptill and Manish Pandey in eighth place, the sleeves were handed over to the Rails thanks to a partnership of 45 runs between Kane Williamson and Vijay Shankar. Although the Sunrisers continued to lose wickets at regular intervals. Williamson held on and accelerated to the back of the sleeves, remaining unbeaten on 70 rounds on 43.
