Hayley Matthews dropped from West Indies squad for ODI series against Australia because of Breaching ICC code of conduct

Hayley Matthews, the vice-captain of the West Indies women’s team, was dropped from the team for the ongoing ODI series against Australia that began on Thursday for breaching ICC Code of Conduct.

“Hayley Matthews has been removed from the West Indies women’s team for the next series against Australia for breaching ICC code. It stemmed from a charge for violating the CWI Code of Conduct following an incident that took place on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, in Antigua. The case has been referred to the CWI Disciplinary Court,” a press release from Cricket West Indies declared before the start of the first ODI that West Indies lost by 178 races at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua.

Hayley, who was selected as part of the 13-member team to play against women in Australia, has been replaced by Sheneta Grimmond, a 21-year-old Guyana spinner without a cap.
