Harsha Bhogle Not Happy for the Roles Given to Misbah Ul Haq

Indian commentator and cricket expert, Harsha Bhogle did not seem happy to see this new method assigning Misbah ul Haq as dual roles of Head coach and Chief Selector. Bhogle stressed that this process could prevent players from sharing their problems with coaches.

The PCB assigned Misbah ul Haq on a three-year contract for the role of Pakistan’s head coach and Chief Selector. Former coach Mickey Arthur sacked after the team’s poor performance at CWC19. Being the head coach and Selector at the same time means that the Misbah would have a lot of power. But PCB has a different point of view on this issue.

“The fact that the head coach is also selector is innovative and a new introduction to our system. But while PCB has further strengthened Misbah’s power, it has also put more responsibility on its shoulders”.

“Never been a fan of a person being a coach and selector. Players come to a coach with a problem. If they know that this knowledge can lead to their abandonment, they may not be honest with the coaches. #Misbah.”
