Hardik Pandya Uncertain for the T20 World Cup 2021

Hardik Pandya Uncertain for the T20 World Cup 2021

A BCCI official said that if Hardik Pandya did not fit 100 percent, India’s World Cup T20 squad could change. Hardik Pandya is uncertain for the T20 World Cup 2021 as he didn’t bowl a single over in IPL 2021. Shardul Tagore or Deepak Chahar can get a place in the squad as his replacement.

Hardik Pandya has not bowled in any match in the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the United Arab Emirates. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has included him in the T20 World Cup 2021 Squad as an all-rounder. In the second part of the IPL, only playing as a batsman has created fear in him.

According to the new rules of the International Cricket Council (ICC), the participating teams will be able to make changes in the World Cup squad till October 15. The BCCI official said Hardik Pandya would undergo a fitness test before the ICC’s deadline. If fitness does not improve, the Indian team will take a different path.

If Hardik Pandya is not injured, he is more likely to be dropped. Because Hardik Pandya has been included in the team as the fourth fast bowler. The official does not see any possibility of including him as a batsman. If Hardik Pandya is left out, Shardul Tagore or Deepak Chahar can open their foreheads. Both of them are on standby.

The BCCI official said, “If Hardik can’t bowl for any reason, Shardul or Deepak will get a place in the squad.” The Indian squad needs at least one more fast bowler.

When the World Cup squad was announced, Indian chief selector Chetan Sharma said Hardik Pandya was fit. He also said that he will be able to bowl in the World Cup. However, he has not yet recovered from the injury, which has raised concerns about his bowling.
