Gazi TV and T-Sports to Broadcast SL vs BAN ODI Series 2021
Bangladesh will play a three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka at home. The two TV channels are Gazi TV and T-Sports acquire the rights to broadcast the SL vs BAN three-match ODI series 2021 in Bangladesh. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) said this at a press conference on Tuesday (May 18).
It was informed at the press conference that the Bangladeshi marketing agency Bantech has bought the TV rights of the Bangladesh Cricket Board for two years. According to the ICC’s FTP, they have bought TV rights for all matches played on Bangladeshi soil until 2023. It cost them Tk 161.5 crore.
The BCB set a minimum price of 19 million for the sale of broadcasting rights. Bantech was the only company to participate in this auction. They bid 19.08 million (Bangladeshi currency 181.83 crores).
Jalal Yunus, chairman of the BCB’s media committee, told a news conference that Bantech was the only company to take part in the auction. They (Bantech) will broadcast all the matches of Bangladesh at home for the next two years.
Bantech had earlier bought the broadcasting rights for the series against the West Indies. They later sold broadcasting rights to Citizen TV and T-Sports. This time they have sold the broadcasting rights to Gazi TV and T Sports. So this time all the matches of Bangladesh-Sri Lanka series will be seen on the screens of Gazi TV and T Sports.
