Gayle Wants Yuvraj to Hit Some More Sixes
Yuvraj Singh, who retired from international cricket last month, is about to entertain fans with his dazzling batting display in the second edition of the World T20 World League, starting today. Barely a week after his retirement, Yuvraj was selected in the GT20 League project as a brand player by the Toronto Nationals.
Before his team’s opening game against the Vancouver Knights, Yuvi addressed Twitter and wrote, “Hello Toronto, I’m here and I can’t wait to see you all at the CAA Centre. In his tweet, Yuvraj also tagged Windies swaggering opener Chris Gayle, who will represent the Knights in the centerpiece of World T20 League. The former Indian all-rounder asked the world boss if he too wanted to crush six points.
Responding to Yuvi’s tweet, Gayle also clarified his intention by writing, “I’m ready”. The second season of Global T20 Canada starts a little late compared to last year. It is because of the ICC Cricket World Cup that ended on July 14. A total of 22 matches will be played in the tournament and the final will take place on August 11.
