Foreign Players Refuse to Play Full PSL 5 in Pakistan
The fifth season of Pakistan’s Super League Habib Bank Limited (HBL) has faced an obstacle after foreign Players refuse to play Full PSL 5 Season in Pakistan.
According to the sources, the franchises want to celebrate next year’s half-season of BBL PSL Season 5 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). As they consider it currently not feasible to celebrate the full edition in Pakistan. While talking to the Reporters correspondent on this issue, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ehsan Mani insisted that there are no concerns regarding hosting the entire HBL PSL in Pakistan.
Ehsan Mani Said:
I took the approval of the PCB Head Pattern regarding the possession of full HBL PSL in Pakistan. Just after consulting with all franchise owners. I invited the team owners to a meeting next week in Lahore, where this topic would be discussed again.
So far, no franchise has shown any reservations, so there’s no chance of changing matches anywhere else.
He also clarified the PCB’s stance on allowing the Multan Sultans to participate in the fourth season of HBL PSL without depositing a franchise fee. But that matter was solved that Ali Tareen pays all the dues of the franchise.
The Multan sultans did not receive any preferential treatment concerning their agreement with the Board. The sultans comply with their franchise agreement, Says Mani.
The PCB president refrained from commenting further on this issue, as he said it was not possible to share other details of the agreement.
