Eoin Morgan is having a bad IPL season this time. He made only 6 runs with the bat last night and scored 45 runs in four matches. Morgan has to pay a fine again after losing the match against Chennai Super Kings last night. IPL authorities have fined the Kolkata Knight Riders captain Eoin Morgan Rs 12 lakh for slow over rate in the 15th match of IPL 2021.

 

The new playing condition of IPL mentioned that 20 overs should be completed within 90 minutes. Kolkata English captain Eoin Morgan has been fined Rs 12 lakh for a slow over-rate while batting for the Chennai Super Kings, according to the IPL Code of Conduct on Over Rate. Morgan was fined in his fourth match of the IPL 2021.

The IPL tournament committee said in a statement,

As this is the first allegation against Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL this year, the captain has been fined only Rs 12 lakh.

It has also been hinted that if the same mistake is made again in the future, a bigger fine will be imposed. The captain will be fined Rs 24 lakh for the second offense, and the rest of the team will be fined Rs 6 lakh each or 25% of the match fee. If KKR commits the same crime for the third time, the captain will be fined Rs 3 lakh. With a captain’s one-match ban and a fine of Rs 12 lakh or 50% of the match fee for each member of the team.

Fines have been levied for doing less than the stipulated overs within the stipulated time. Captain Morgan admitted the allegations made by match referee Shakti Singh during last night’s IPL match at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. As a result, he was fined without a hearing.

Eoin Morgan is stuck after winning the first match of the current IPL. Kolkata Knight Riders have lost three matches in a row. Chennai increased the pressure of the Knights by scoring 220 runs for 3 wickets in the fight to turn around in Mumbai’s Wankhede on Wednesday.
