Eoin Morgan feels fast pace of game Abu Dhabi T10 USP

On Monday, Sony representatives and Abu Dhabi T10 officials teamed up with celebrities and cricket superstars to celebrate the partnership agreement. The World Cup-winning England captain Eoin Morgan and former Indian sprinter Zaheer Khan were present as official ambassadors for Abu Dhabi T10, which will begin from November 14-24 at Zayed Cricket Stadium in the UAE capital.

Morgan talked about changing perception with the new agreement and moving to Abu Dhabi: “More people are watching because it’s a faster game and we’re playing in a city that loves to do big things. Big stars, big ratings, big action on the field. And players love to play in Abu Dhabi because it represents an audience that loves unique entertainment. That’s T10 in a nutshell.”

The star-fuelled line-up of international cricket talent sheds light on the game’s global appeal, with characters such as Australian icons Shane Watson and Cameron White, Western Indians Darren Sammy, Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo; Sri Lankan duo Angelo Matthews and pacemaker Lasith Malinga; and Mohammad Shahzad and Rashid Khan of Afghanistan, all ready to take part in November.

Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) has joined Abu Dhabi T10 as its official streaming partner for the third year in a row, to bring the unique cricket show to a global audience of nearly one billion fans.

Abu Dhabi T10’s twenty-nine matches will be broadcast live on Sony Pictures Network India’s massive 700 million viewer base on Sony Six and Sony Ten three channels. Besides, SonyLIV and Jio will allow another 300 million viewers to watch live streaming of the tournament on their mobile phones through their OTT platforms, raising the potential numbers of spectators for the event to truly astronomical levels.

Rajesh Kaul, Director of Revenue, Distribution and Director of Sports Business at Sony Pictures Networks India, said: “Cricket dominates the audience in India and our goal is to serve the interests of our viewers. The T10 League is beautiful, and fast dynamic format has attracted a loyal audience since its inaugural edition at Sony Pictures Networks in 2017. The T10 League is considered the last avatar of the most-watched sport in the country and this edition expects a greater degree of excitement and excitement with the inclusion of some of the biggest names in the sport”.
