Match Preview:

On a traumatic tour for the tourists, England put on another show with bat and ball to swat Sri Lanka aside for the fifth time in a row. As a result, Sri Lanka not only remained winless, but they also lost the ODI series after previously losing the T20I series.

The final game of the tour is now set to take place in Bristol. Despite the fact that completing the series would be a formality, both sides will be hoping to end the trip with a win on Sunday.

The Sri Lankans have had a terrible season so far, but they still have ODI Super League points to contend for in the next match. They won’t be able to avoid a series whitewash by any stretch of the imagination, but they’ll want to put in a solid showing.

The pitch at the County Ground has been a fairly decent one for batting. Hence, the bowlers are expected to find life difficult even in the final game. Picking up wickets with the new ball will hold prime importance for both sides. Rain is likely to play spoilsport in the third ODI, with continuous showers forecast for most of the day. The temperature should be around 17 degrees celsius.
