Dwayne Bravo the First Bowler to Take 500 Wickets in T20
The history of T20 cricket is not long. Caribbean Star Dwayne Bravo also made history in that T20 cricket and he became the first bowler to take 500 wickets in T20 history.
Bravo set the ‘record’ in the history of T20 cricket in the Caribbean Premier League on Wednesday. He entered the 500-wicket club by taking St. Lucia batsman Rahkim Cornwall as a victim.
He topped the list of 300 and 400 wickets of this elite club of T20 cricket. He took 300 wickets in August 2014. Four years later, in December 2016, he touched the 400-wicket milestone. This time he entered the club of 500 wickets in August 2020.
Australian Dutch cricketer Dark Nanes holds the record for the first 100 and 200 wickets. He completed his first wicket century and ‘double’ century, but Bravo left him behind. He has taken the 500th wicket in 458 matches.
