The bat has been on display at the Bradman Museum since 1999. Bradman wrote on the back of the bat: With this bat, I scored 304 runs and 244 runs at the Oval against England in Leeds (Headingley) in 1934. ‘Don Bradman Private’ is engraved on the right side of the bat. Bradman, who immigrated to the land of no return in 2001, used the word ‘private’ to mean personal things.
