Nepal Everest Premier League 2021: Dinesh Chandimal Signed Up for the 4th Season of EPL 2021

Dinesh Chandimal is currently out of international cricket as no decision has been taken on his contract with Sri Lanka Cricket. Although he has not been seen in the national team for almost a year, Dinesh Chandimal signed up for the tournament and will play in Nepal’s Everest Premier League 2021.

The Everest Premier League, a franchise-based cricket tournament, is set to be held in Nepal for the first time. Dinesh Chandimal will play for Bhairahawa Gladiators in this league. The gladiators confirmed the matter in a video message.

Chandimal is very excited to get the opportunity to play in the tournament. “I am thrilled to have the opportunity to visit a beautiful country like Nepal,” he said. I am looking forward to playing for the Gladiators. ‘

Chandimal has represented Sri Lanka in 72 Tests, 149 ODIs, and 56 Twenty20 Internationals. Sri Lanka also led the team. He has played great in the last 2020 Lanka Premier League.

In addition to the former Sri Lanka captain, Pakistan all-rounders Shahid Afridi and Danish Aziz will also be present. Afridi will play for the Kathmandu Kings and Danish Aziz will play for the Chitwan Tigers. Shahid Afridi’s squad will include Nepal Cricket poster boy Sandwip Lamichane. Lamichane can be the captain of the team.

The Everest Premier League will be played on September 25 this year. All matches of the tournament will be played at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground. Nepal’s first franchise tournament will be held on September 9 this year.
