It should be noted that CPL, Cricket Premier League will clash with the dates of Sri Lanka’s tour of Pakistan, which begins with its arrival in Karachi on 25 September 2019.
The report further indicated that Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) could allow its players to participate in the CPL, on the condition that they return to serve the national side if necessary.
Previously, the PCB and SLC had announced exchange of split-series matches in Pakistan, meaning that ODI and T20Is will now be played from September 27 to October 9, while testing will be conducted in December.
According to the PCB press release, Pakistan was scheduled to host Sri Lanka for two World Test Championship matches in October before Sri Lanka returns by three ODIs and three T20Is at the end of December.
The decision to exchange matches was made after a telephone discussion between Pakistan Cricket Board PCB President Ehsan Mani and Sri Lankan Cricket Board SLC President Shammi Silva.
