Great choices made by DC Delhi Capitals for IPL 2020

Delhi Capitals (DC) made some smart decisions for IPL 2020 at auctions. Also, the team has spent a lot on buying players abroad to achieve the right combination this time. The team had a surprising revival last season, finishing 3rd in the final. After this, they had released nine players while retaining 14 before the IPL 2020 auction that took place in December 2019.

DC has successfully retained some of last season’s top players, giving him a base to build and during the trading window, swapping Rahul Tewatia and Mayank Markande for Ajinkya Rahane of the Rajasthan Royals team. They also got Ravichandran Ashwin on an outstanding trade deal. The core of the group is set with Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, and Ajinkya Rahane, making the first order with Rishabh Pant somewhere in between depending on the stage.

Here, they have many off-road options like Woakes and Stoinis and hitters like Jason Roy and Shimron Hetmyer. The bowling unit looks formidable with Ishant Sharma, Axar Patel / Amit Mishra, and Ravichandran Ashwin. Bring Kagiso Rabada into the mix, and you get the image.
