David Miller equals Shoaib Malik record for most T20I catches as a fielder
South African player David Miller equal the record for most catches in T20 in the final match of the series against India on Sunday. The 30-year-old, Miller caught Hardik Pandya in the last ball of the 20th over of Indian innings. David Miller has now taken 50 catches in 72 matches as a fielder and therefore equals Shoaib Malik record, who has appeared in 39 more games than Miller.
South Africa won the match by nine wickets while comfortably pursuing the average target of 135 runs in 16.5 overs.
Proteas captain Quinton of Kock led his team to a victory while playing an undefeated 79-stroke shot while Temba Bavuma scored 27 out.
Previously, after opting to bat first, India managed to score 134 runs with a loss of nine wickets. Shikhar Dhawan played furiously and scored 36 races, while Rishabh Pant and Ravindra Jadeja added 19-runs to the scoreboard.
With the victory, South Africa had leveled the three-match T20I series 1–1. India had won the second T20I by seven wickets after the first match abandoned due to rain.
