Crowd Pull Out Smartphones to Provide Light After Power Failure

A power outage at Dhaka’s Shere Bangla Stadium led to a total power outage of minutes during a T20 international match between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe on Friday. The incident occurred after the 17th day of Zimbabwe’s heats. The delay was not too long but gives some time to the crowd pull out their smartphones to provide some light after the power failure. Just flashlights and advertising lights were visible on the ground.

The floodlights are back in a few minutes. The rain-affected match had already lost two overs, but the delay due to the power outage was not too long to further reduce the outs. Zimbabwe scored 144-5 in 18 outs thanks to a brilliant inning by Ryan Burl. But it wasn’t enough to win the game they had reasonable control in the game.

Afif Hossain, an impressive teenager who led the way. He crushed 52 runs on only 26 balls. His 24-ball innings by Mosaddek Hossain helped Bangladesh win the match by three wickets.
