The 2019 ODI Men’s ICC World Cup that saw England lift its First ICC trophy was the most-watched ICC tournament of all time with a cumulative average global audience of 1.6 billion.

ICC said in Press Release

India paved the way with live match streaming consumption on digital platforms with Hotstar reporting a world record for the highest simultaneous audience of live cricket streaming with 25.3 million viewers during India vs. New Zealand semi-final 2019.

It was also the most widely available ICC event in history as more than 20,000 hours of live-action, replays and featured 25 streaming partners brought coverage in more than 200 territories.

The ICC World Cup 2019 experienced a 38 percent increase over the 2015 edition and a single streaming audience of 706 million viewers, demonstrating the phenomenal reach and power of live cricket streaming around the world.

The most-watched match in the world was India vs Pakistan in the World Cup 2019, with 273 million unique viewers tun to TV coverage with more than 50 million digital online viewers.
