Brendon McCullum said:

It was an honor to accept the challenge. We have fantastic squads at both KKR and TKR and I, along with the support staff, will look to build on the success that both franchises have enjoyed. Brendon McCullum recently retired from all forms of cricket after the conclusion of his campaign at the second concluded Global T20 Canada edition. He retired from international cricket in 2016 but continued to play in the T20 leagues around the world.

Brendon McCullum began his IPL career with KKR in the inaugural season in 2008. The New Zealand international crushed 158 of 73 balls in the first game of the season in an inning that he later said changed his life.

Previously, KKR had announced on July 14 that they would make some changes to its technical staff.

Kolkata Knight Rider KKR CEO Venky Mysore said:

Kallis has been an integral part of the KKR family and will always remain so. Let’s explore ways to work with Jacques as we pursue our vision of setting the Knight Rider brand. as a global brand.

Jacque Kallis Said:

After 9 fantastic years with KKR since 2011, as a player, mentor, and head coach, it’s time to explore new opportunities. I would like to thank the owners, managers and fellow players for many happy memories.
