BCCI to Earn 12 Million US Dollars Profit from T20 World Cup 2021
The BCCI is expected to earn 12 million US dollars as the organizer. Where the ECB will get 1.5 million. The BCCI has sent an e-mail detailing the members of the Apex Council. They said they were paying 8 million to the Emirates Cricket Board. 1.5 million for hosting and 5.5 million for operations. BCCI is giving 4 lakh US dollars to Oman Cricket as operational cost.
Although the Board of Control for Cricket in India ( BCCI ) is the main organizer of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021, it will be played in the United Arab Emirates and Oman. The Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) will receive 8 million for hosting 39 matches. Oman Cricket (OC) will get 4 lakh US dollars by organizing a total of 6 matches of Round 1 including 3 from Bangladesh.
The BCCI, the main organizer of the World Cup, which starts on October 16, will receive about 12 million US Dollars profit from the T20 World Cup 2021. Although this amount is estimated by the BCCI which they have informed the members of the Apex Council.
The BCCI has given the ECB the ticketing rights for the matches to be held in the United Arab Emirates. So ECBE will get all the profit that will be made by selling tickets. Similarly, Oman Cricket will have ticketing for 6 matches in Oman.
The BCCI has informed the members of the Apex Council that the BCCI is hosting the World Cup in the Middle East instead of India, keeping in mind the safety of cricketers and stakeholders during the coronation period.
