BCCI announced women squad for West Indies tour
The Indian Cricket Control Board (BCCI) announced the women squad for the upcoming West Indies tour. India will play three ODI in Antigua and five T20Is in St Lucia and Guyana. The India tour will begin from November 1 and conclude on November 20.
The Indian side currently houses South Africa for five T20Is, and three ODIs. India won the first T20I for 11 runs and its second T20I was abandoned due to rain.
Mithali Raj, who announced his retirement from T20I last month, will lead the side at ODI while Harmanpreet Kaur will be the captain in the shortest format.
ODI Squad: Poonam Yadav, Ekta Bisht, Rajeshwari Bhatt, Tanjeshwari Baya (week), Priya Punia, Sushma Verma, Mithali Raj (c), Harmanpreet Kaur (vc), Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Deepti Sharma, Punam Raut, Hemalatha D, Jhulan Goswami, Shikha Pandey, and Mansi Joshi.
T20I Squad: Deepti Sharma, Taniya Bhatia (wk), Poonam Yadav, Radha Yadav, Veda Krishnamurthy, Anuja Patil, Shikha Pande, Poikja Pande, Mansi Joshi, Arundhati Reddy, Harmanpreet Kaur (c), Smriti Mandhana (vc), Jemimah Rodrigues, Shafali Verma, and Harleen Deol.
The Indian team will play their third T20I against South Africa at Lalabhai Contractor Stadium in Surat on 29 September.
