Australia Vs West Indies CWC19 Match 10 Result
West Indies won the toss and elected to bowl first in the 10th match of Cricket World Cup 2019.
Nathan Coulter-Nile’s helped Australia to win a 15 runs victory over the West Indies at Trent Bridge on Thursday in the 10th match of World Cup 2019. Australia was reduced to 38 for four after the fast bowlers of the West Indies shook their higher order. But Coulter-Nile’s best career 92, which is the best score of a batsman at number eight or less in a World Cup, earned them a decent score of 288. Alongside Steve Smith 73 runs saved Australia with a 102 runs partnership.
In response, the West Indies finished on 273 for nine with contributions from Shai hope and skipper Jason holder. The Mitchell STARC rapid launcher was responsible for most of the damage with five wickets for 46 runs. The West Indies had only knocked down Pakistan at 105 runs in Trent bridge with a short-ball barrage and had adopted a fairly similar strategy against the Australians.
But Coulter-Nile continued the assault as he crossed his previous international record of 34 runs. In the Caribbean race, the opener Chris Gayle, who overturned two decisions, was finally pinned by Mitchell STARC for 21. But hope took his time as he ended his fifty on 76 balls. Holder then accelerated the innings with two well-struck fours. But the West Indies suffered a violent shock when hope sent a slower shot of Cummins halfway, preparing the scene for STARC’s five-yard shooting.
