Australia VS England CWC19 Semifinal 2 Result
Australia won the toss and elected to bat first in the 2nd Semifinal of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.
England played in their first World Cup final in 27 years, as the hosts crushed Australia by eight wickets and will face New Zealand in the World Cup 2019 Final. Eoin Morgan’s team ended Australia’s attempt to keep the World Cup ruthlessly at Edgbaston, sending their former rivals back for 223 points and then winning at 32.1. Jason Roy played an amazing inning of 85 runs.
England will prepare for the first time for victory in the World Cup. New Zealand was the finalist of the World Cup 2015. England, playing in the semi-finals for the first time since 1992, lost all three World Cup finals. The most recent of these painful defeats came in 1992 when Graham Gooch’s team was defeated by Pakistan. Australia in 1987 and the West Indies in 1979 also denied England in the final.
This is Australia’s first World Cup semi-final defeat, after seven previous victories. England dashed the hopes of five-time champions to reach the final for the sixth time. As Australia lick sour before facing England in the ashes next month, Morgan’s team’s progress comes after a four-year review.
