After all the drama and end to an exciting final at Lord’s in the most sensational World Cup final in history. Irish-born Eoin Morgan was asked if the England team enjoyed the Irish’s famed fate.

He gives the best answer in reply: “I spoke to Adil Rashid (England’s best leg spinner). He said that Allah was definitely with us and that is why we win the game.”

Actually, it embodies our team Morgan said. Different backgrounds, cultures, and boys grow in different countries and find humor in the situation we find ourselves in was sometimes very good to have and too proud.

The captain was proud that his teammates came from different cultures and religions and gave their best when it mattered for their country England.

Led by Morgan, raised on the east coast of Ireland, inspired by the player Ben Stokes and turning towards the Jofra Archer of Bridgetown in the Super Over, it was the diversity of this team that helped England achieve the first victory of the Cricket World Cup ICC.

Leg spinner Adil Rashid told Morgan that they even had Allah on their side as a country united around these men who have come from all over to play bold and ambitious cricket.

And for Morgan, that diversity was never more evident than under the added pressure of a Super Over in the World Cup final.

England eventually won the game in the limit count, 27-17, after the Super Over also ended in a draw.
