The three-time ICC Umpire of the Year said it was an honor for him to match his idol, Steve Bucknor’s record of refereeing 128 test games.

The 51-year-old elite panel umpire urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to induce at least 20 referees in the central contract to encourage local referees to represent Pakistan on the international stage. He also asked the cricket table to increase the rate of domestic matches to Rs 10,000 for umpires/referee.
