Ajeet Singh asked to engage in fixing matches, says BCCI ACU Chief

Indian women cricket Ajeet Singh contacted to arrange and fixing matches, the Cricket Control Board revealed at the head of India’s Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU). The player who approached had informed ACU in February, just before the one-day home series against England.

“Yes, the cricketer is a member of the women’s team, and an international player is why ICC (International Cricket Council) conduct the research. Also, ICC warned the person who made the approach and informed us and acknowledged that the cricketer did the right thing in reporting the approach by the fixer,” Singh told ANI.

ACU filed a First Information Report (FIR) with the Bangalore police against people who had approached the player.
