The undefeated half-century of David Warner helped Australia to return home with seven wickets in hand as they beat Afghanistan in the 4th match of World Cup 2019. Australia restricts Afghanistan for 207 out of 38.2 overs and then reached its target with more than 15 overs to spare. Warner was not out on 89 runs. Warner opened the innings with captain Aaron Finch, the latter giving the tone of the Chase, reaching his fifty on 40 balls. The dismissal of Usman Khawaja by Rashid Khan brought Steve Smith to the crease and he was also hissed. Smith was out in the same manner, grabbed by Hazratullah Zazai at the Mujeeb bowling.
Earlier, Naib had made the bold decision to fight in warm conditions. But the decision went awry, with the batsman Mohammad Shahzad and Zazai leaving without scoring. Afghanistan slipped to five for two in the second third. Rahmat Shah and Hashmatullah Shahidi conducted a response, placing 51 runs for the third wicket. Afghanistan again strongly oscillated, at 77 for five, but Najibullah Zadran won the fight, crushing 20 points in four balls on Adam Zampa. Zadran raised his fifty on 46 balls but was knocked out for 51.
