Abid Ali to Replace Fakhar Zaman in Upcoming Series

The Pakistan Cricket Commission (PCB) has decided to scramble the agenda and has chosen to leave Fakhar Zaman to rest for the next limited series against Sri Lanka. Abid Ali will replace Fakhar Zaman, who has taken rest as he is still recovering from a knee injury and the board does not want to send him back to the team.

Fakhar had an ordinary World Cup campaign in which he scored only 136 runs in 9 innings and 10 points or less in 4 innings. To get back into shape, PCB suggested Fakhar play in the Quaid-e-Azam trophy before returning to the international stage.

The selected Pakistani cricket team will participate in a four-day training camp on 18 September in Lahore, before travelling to Karachi for the ODI series between Sri Lanka Vs Pakistan, which starts on 27 September.
