AB de Villiers, Imran Tahir, and Chris Morris Likely To Return to South African Cricket Team
There have been rumors for a long time that AB de Villiers to return in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2021. Villiers’ chances of returning to international cricket after retirement has increased. If all goes well, he could return to the field with the T20 series against the West Indies.
Africa will play a five-match T20 series against the West Indies from June 2. Along with Villiers, Chris Morris and Imran Tahir are also likely to return to the team in that series.
Despite retiring from international cricket, Villiers played regularly in franchise leagues. The performance in the matches of that league was also eye-catching. During the IPL, Villiers himself said that he would decide at the end of the IPL whether he would return to the field.
Graeme Smith, director of the South African Cricket Board, spoke about AB de Villiers’ return to the team. Caribbean Cricket Podcast wrote on their Twitter, South Africa Cricket Director Graeme Smith has confirmed that South Africa will arrive in June to play Tests and T20s in the West Indies. He added that AB de Villiers, Imran Tahir, and Chris Morris could be seen playing in the series.
